The Dry Creek Valley region of Sonoma County has distinguished itself as a premier appellation for growing Zinfandel. The north-south orientation of the valley limits the daytime coastal fog influence, providing warm to hot days for ripening the grapes for robust red wines. Yet the nights still cool enough to allow for the retention of color and acidity. The distinctive jammy and spicy flavors are consistently evident in the grapes we source for the Lake Sonoma Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel.
